Jessica Cohen

Hyfforddwyd Jess yn Ysgol Dawns Gyfoes Llundain rhwng 1976 ac 1979.  Daeth yn brif berfformiwr gyda Moving Being y cwmni theatr aml-gyfrwng Cymreig ym 1979, a threuliodd 7 mlynedd gyda’r cwmni tan 1986 a theithio’n eang ledled Ewrop.  Ym 1987 dyfarnwyd grant teithio iddi gan Gyngor y Celfyddydau er mwyn astudio Crefft Ymladd, Opera Peking, darlunio inc a Mandarin yn Taiwan. Ar ôl dychwelyd, creodd ddau waith unigol a’u cymryd ar daith.

Ym 1989, dechreuodd gydweithio â’r cyfarwyddwr, Jim Ennis, a gyfarwyddodd ei hail waith unigol.  Yn ddiweddarach y flwyddyn honno, ar y cyd â Jim Ennis, ffurfiodd gwmni Earthfall. Cafodd Earthfall ei sefydlu er mwyn creu perfformiadau aml-ddisgyblaethol ac ers hynny mae’r cwmni wedi perfformio ledled y byd mewn gwyliau niferus ac ar deithiau eang.  Roedd Jess yn berfformiwr yn narnau cynnar Earthfall ond ers y rheiny mae hi wedi canolbwyntio ar ei rôl fel Cyfarwyddwr Artistig. Mae Jess yn Gynghorydd Cenedlaethol i Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.

Jim Ennis

Derbyniodd Jim ei hyfforddiant yn Lloegr, yng Ngholeg Celfyddydol Dartington Hall rhwng 1974 a 1977.  Ym 1978, sefydlodd gwmni perfformio a symud i’r Iseldiroedd i gydweithio ag artistiaid perfformio a Ballet Cenedlaethol yr Iseldiroedd. Mynychodd Labordy Theatr Grotowski yng Ngwlad Pwyl. Rhwng 1978 ac 1983, roedd yn brif berfformiwr a chydweithiwr gyda’r grŵp ymchwil theatrig, Kiss, o’r Iseldiroedd a theithiodd ledled y byd gyda nhw.  Mae Jim yn awdur tair o ddramâu ac yn gyd-awdur y Theatre Research BookYm 1984 ymunodd â Labordy Theatr Caerdydd yn y DG, a derbyniodd wahoddiad hefyd i berfformio gyda Chymdeithas Theatr Gardzienice, Gwlad Pwyl.  Arhosodd gyda’r cwmni tan 1989.

Ym 1989, ffurfiodd Earthfall gyda Jessica Cohen.  Gydag Earthfall, dechreuodd Jim weithio fel Cyfarwyddwr/Perfformiwr ond canolbwyntiodd yn llwyr wedi hynny ar gyfarwyddo, gwaith coreograffi ac ar gyd-greu pob un o gynyrchiadau’r cwmni.

Jessica Haener

Jessica Haener is from Geneva where she started dancing with Rock N Roll. She continued her training in contemporary dance in Barcelona, Zurich and London, graduating in 2013 from Trinity Laban where she worked with Susan Sentler, Charlotte Darbyshire and Simon Vincenzi amongst others. Alongside her study, she has been performing for Jeremy Nelson and as part of company å in the production Room 40

Rosalind Haf Brooks.

Mae Rosalind wedi gweithio fel perfformiwr / dawnswraig ers graddio o Ysgol Ddawns Kate Simmons, Swydd Gaer yn 2003 ac o Ysgol Dawns Gyfoes Llundain yn 2005.

Fe’i hyfforddwyd yn nhechnegau Ballet, Cyfoes, Jazz, Tap, Dawns Sbaeneg a Chanu ac, ers 2007, mae hi wedi bod yn astudio technegau Polyn Tseiniaidd a gwaith harnais.  Mae gwaith Rosalind fel arfer yn cynnwys nifer o’r disgyblaethau hyn, yng nghyd-destunau’r theatr, gwaith safle benodol a ffilm.  Ar ôl symud i Gaerdydd yn 2005 i gychwyn ei gyrfa broffesiynol, mae Rosalind wedi gweithio gyda nifer o goreograffwyr gwahanol gan gynnwys Sean Tuan John, Mr a Mrs Clark, Marega Palser, Marc Rees, Deborah Light, Citrus Arts, Ballet Cymru, ac mae hi’n Gyd-Gyfarwyddwr Grŵp Kitsch & Sync.

Sebastian Langueneur

Sebastian Langueneur oedd y perfformiwr gwrywaidd cyntaf gyda chwmni dawns LJMU, JMUpstart, a graddiodd gydag Anrhydedd mewn Coreograffi a Pherfformiad ym mis Gorffennaf 2009. Yn ddiweddar, perfformiodd Sebastian gyda China Pearl, River Media, Prosiect ‘Plunge’ Cwmni Dawns Cenedlaethol Cymru, Cwmni Dawns Movema, Dynion Pro a Dawns Annibynnol Cymru.

Rachael O’Neill

Rachael is a freelance dance artist based in the UK and has worked with numerous artists including Anna Watkins, Mina Aido, Tara Baker, Jack Webb and most recently Theo Clinkard. During VERVE: The Postgraduate Performance Company, where she graduated from in July 2014, she had the opportunity to work with Ben Duke, Lea Anderson and Jamaal Burkmar touring nationally and internationally, as well as being awarded the Overall Outstanding Achievement Award. Rachael was also a part of the first cohort of dancers to be involved in the Kerry Nicholls Professional Mentoring Programme in 2014.

Rachael is interested in collaborating with visual arts, performers and designers to explore her creative and choreographic methods as well as explore multi-disciplinary art forms within performance. Rachael joined Earhfall as an Apprentice in September 2014 for the research and development of ‘Stories From a Crowded Room’, she now joins Earthfall as a company member to continue with the creation and tour of the production.

Alex Marshall Parsons

Astudiodd Alex am radd BA mewn Dawns, Drama a Theatr Gorfforol/Gwaith Awyr ym Mhrifysgol Edgehill.  Ers hynny, gweithiodd gyda Mr Gary Clarke ar ei deithiau Menage à Trois ac yng nghynhyrchiad Mark Edward, ‘Council House Movie Star’ – ffilm ac arddangosfa ar gyfer Homotopia 2012.  Mae e wedi creu coreograffi ar gyfer gweithiau i ysgolion a llwyfannau ar hyd a lled y Gogledd Orllewin.  Yn ddiweddar, dewiswyd ef yn ar gyfer cynhyrchiad MDI China Pearl a Phrosiect STRIDE DiGMs.

Lara Ward

Mae Lara yn berfformiwr a gwneuthurwr o Gymru sy’n gweithio’n gydweithredol i lunio symudiadau, cymeriadau a thestun ar gyfer ffilmiau, darnau theatr, gosodiadau a pherfformiadau safle-benodol.  Bu Lara’n perfformio gydag Earthfall ers pum mlynedd ac mae hi hefyd wedi perfformio gyda chwmnïau ac artistiaid annibynnol eraill yng Nghymru fel Theatr Iolo, National Theatre Wales, Beth Powlesland, Tanja Raman, Caroline Sabin, Jem Treays a Sean Tuan John.

Fel coreograffydd, cwblhaodd ei ffilm ddawns fer gyntaf fel cyfarwyddwr a golygydd, ‘State Papur’, yn 2010.  Roedd yn Gyfarwyddwr Symudiad ar gyfer cynhyrchiad Theatr Chorea, ‘Oratorium’ gydag Earthfall, yn Lodz, Gwlad Pwyl yn 2011.  Mae hi wedi creu coreograffi ar gyfer cynyrchiadau ar ran Earthfall gyda Phrifysgol Bath Spa ac yng Nghanolfan Mileniwm Cymru.  Yn 2012, cydweithiodd Lara â Chloe Loftus i lunio perfformiadau ar gyfer gŵyl a phrosiect ffotograffig gyda Keith Morris yn Aberystwyth.

Rhian Williams

Rhian Williams is a professional musician and composer who specialises in rhythm and drums. Before graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music, Rhian worked as a composer for dance companies such as the National Dance Company of Wales. Following higher education, Rhian found a love for mentoring, and spent three years teaching drum kit, tuned percussion, taiko and steel pan in schools, mental health institutions, with ex-offenders and troubled teenagers in Wales. She then toured the UK teaching African drumming to teenagers with English as a foreign language. Rhian has worked as a composer for independent film and various dance companies including Kitsch & Sync, and is currently a professional recording and international touring artist with many projects including The Zen Hussies and Bombs. !  She rejoins the company after taking part in the R&D period in September – October 2014 and is looking forward to touring with the company for the first time.

Eric Martin Kamosi

Eric Martin Kamosi is a creative musician based in Cardiff. He attended the University of South Wales to complete a BA (hons) degree in Creative Sound and Music. He has a family background in the arts and has played guitar assiduously since early childhood, he enjoys writing blues, rock, electronic and aleatoric music forms.  He also has an interest in computer music, image and sound installation.  This led him to study Integrated Media at OCAD University in Toronto. Eric likes pancakes!

Mike Brookes

Mike Brookes is an award winning artist, director and designer, known primarily for his propositional practices within the form, function and location of performance and live art. He co-founded the performance collective Pearson/Brookes with Mike Pearson in 1997, their work together being generally perceived to have pioneered mediated and multi-site performance practices. Most recently co-creating their acclaimed theatre work ‘Coriolan/us’, commissioned jointly by the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre Wales, for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad. His work is currently focused within his long-term collaboration with artist Rosa Casado, producing intervention and gallery works under the umbrella title ‘Some things happen all at once, some things happen more slowly’ – their work having been widely commissioned and presented across Europe, Asia, Australasia, South America, and USA. He has now contributed to thirteen Earthfall productions, since first working with the company in 1993. Other ongoing collaborations include Quarantine and Untitled Projects. Recent awards include a Creative Wales Award from the Arts Council of Wales 2007, TMA Best Design 2010 award, Wales’ Critics Best Production Award 2012, and the CATS Best Design Award 2014. In 2007 he was appointed Creative Research Fellow within Aberystwyth University, and received a doctorate for his contributions to intermedial and located performance and live art in 2015.

Sound designer and musician Felix is into his second decade of helping shape Earthfall’s musical landscape.  He brings with him a wide range of international experience in touring sound and music production.
… although sometimes wishes he’d listened harder at school.
